X2 on that, 33s are barely worth going to all that time & money just to find out that you really wanted 35s

I just went through the same decision process and like everyone has said there is isn't much size difference between the stock 32's and the 33's.

If you can fit the 35s into your driving, budget and fenders, as others have said the JK seems to have been designed for 35s given their proportional look.

Look at the 35s thread in "Show and Tell" if you need convincing. If you are not convinced, then you will happy with 33s.

Doesn't anyone care about the lifetime powertrain warranty? My dealership said the lift wasn't an issue but if I planned on increasing the tire size don't go bigger than 33's if I wanted to keep the warranty!

I to struggled with the 33/35 decision. Went with BFG KM2 12.50 x 35
which on a 17 x 8.5 rim ended up measuring 34 inches mounted.
I have a 1" body lift with 1.75 front coild spacer and 0.75 rear spacer.
Don't notice much diff in the way it drives and the tires are very quiet.
I am happy with it.

thanks for all the info, heres my set up

Rig- 08 rubi 2dr
suspension- 2.5 TF BB, 1"BL
Fenders- stock but plan on flat fenders
Gears- 4:10
Bumpers- custom front stubby, stock rear
rims- stock rubi 17's, changing to xd 17x9's

oh i heard if i go 35's i basically can toss my stock jack in the trash and but a highlift.... so theres another $65-120 to consider, lol wanted one anyways...

its driving me CRAZY tryin to decide!!

I dont know why people on hear say "if you off road alot go with 35's" I have 33x11.5 tires and do ALOT of rock crawling. You'll end up ripping your fenders off if you tire to rock crawl with 35's (or roll if you dont disconnect). Am planning on getting the RC 2.5" lift for more clearance but am keeping my 33's.

Course by the time these tires ware out ill hopefully have the $$$ to regear and get 35's or even 36's

I am hopefully going to lift my '08 4Door with a Rough Country 4" lift. I am getting to the point where I enjoy my time on the rocks more than the mud. I am heavily leaning towards a 33x12.50x17 Baja Claw because of the amount of flex that it will provide over the 35. This will also help to make me a better driver. I am gonna see if I can keep up with the boys on 35's in the mud and see if they can follow me on the rocks.
