35"s. 33"s just aren't big enough. i might go 37"s in the future even

I you are going to off road, go with the 35's. You will want the clearance. If you don't plan to off-road... 33s will give you better acceleration and still looks pretty cool.

P.S. I off road with 4.10's with a manual and do just fine with my 35's.

Go 35's. I went with them and am going 37 next time.

this will be one of the hardest choices you will make. it really depends on you. what size wheel. are you ever going to go with a bigger lift so on and on. i went with 35's. when these run bald. i'll up grade to a 37. but it all comes down to you and your jeep. i run a 5" lift. 35's almost look to small. but not quite. good luck in in delima. it's a doosy. i would say 35's with chopped fenders with your current setup.

35s compared to 33s will give you more ground clearance when off road and look better on the JK IMO. The negatives are more money, less power on inclines, less gas mileage, more stopping distance, and more brake and steering component wear. However, all of these negatives are minimal and a regear will help performance a lot. You should have plenty of clearance and I would still go with 35s unless you do a lot of driving in snow and ice.

like said before lets hear about ur jeep 4door/2door?
how do u wheel?
and how much do you wheel?
have u trimed your fenders?

i went with a set of 33x12.50x17, b/c they were hand downs. would i buy them? no i'd went for 35's. for me it would be better for how i use my jeep.

if you go with 35's you'll need to regear, add a front axle sleeve, and buy a camera to take a BUNCH of pics

Not meaning to hi-jack your thread......

I'll chime in here. I am looking for tires as well. Here is my setup/situation...
  • I have an X with 17's that have over 61K 255/75 17 (32s)
  • This is my daily commuter (70 miles/day)
  • I have a 2" BB and a 3/4" leveler
  • I like to go off-road on the way home and on the weekend but don't get too crazy (mostly mud)
  • I'm thinking of the MT/Rs w/Kevlar but am having a hard time deciding on the tire.
  • I would love to get 50 - 60K out of this next set...
  • I don't see me being able to regear any time soon but would love 35s.
  • The 35s and the fuel mileage are a concern as well
  • I have a Hypertech programmer that will calibrate my spedo when I tell it the correct tire size. Will that help the performance? I would think it would help a lot but obviously not near as much as re-gearing
  • Oh yea, I have an Automatic. Can't forget that...

Any suggestions thrown my way would be appreciated.

I went straight from stock to 35's and have no regrets. I know I would of been dissapointed with 33's because they really werent much different than the stock 32's. Everyone else here is asking the right questions here, it really depends if you are going to wheel or not. I have been running 35's with stock gears (3.73) with no problems and wheel it pretty hard. go for 35's!!
