I had a different experience, i ran 33"s stock with no lift for a long time, about 4 months before i put my lift on, yes i did wheel it, and i had no rubbing problems. The only thing i rubbed on was the air dam in front at full turn, but i just tore that off (and i advise everyone else to also )

As far as flex goes, i am also a stock X and never rubbed. I have a pic i will post when home from work cause its on my home computer, but its my jeep with the front fully flexed on a rock to the point my back wheel is off the ground and i still had no rubbing problems

Also i dont have discos or anything so my tire is off the ground more cause my Jeep doesnt flex that much for that reason, im not sure if the people who did report rubbing have discos or not

One last thing to keep in mind is everyones jeep is different, i very well may have just been one of the lucky ones to not have rubbing problems, but if your looking to lift your Jeep but want 33"s to clear without possible rubbing, there are alot of good lift kits out there, leveling kits if you want to keep it to a minimal, or even body lifts which will provide a bit more fender space

I would recomend going to the Show and tell section and look and the "show off your 33"s" thread located in the "Show Off Threads" sticky at the top to see what other people have done with their 33"s

Hope everyones advice helps and be sure to post pics when done Welcome to the forum!

Nope, like i said somewhere in there i wasn't disconnected and wasnt sure if others who had rubbing issues were, so im sure that played the main role in me not having issues.

A lot has to do with if you change wheels too. I run 33s with wheels that have 4.5" of backspacing. No rubbing.....

It may also depend on if you are you speaking of actual size installed and at proper psi.

My 315/70/17 = 34.6 are actually 33" now.

I know my MT MTZ's which are more like 32.7" or so don't rub on or off road. I'd also add that everyone asks me about my lift and are shocked when i tell them it is stock. So the tires do give the appearance of a lift. My X started off with the 29" tires so it was a big change.
