Default 33's regear?

Hey guys, I know this is probably asked waaaaay too often but... I have 33's and do not plan on going any bigger (not for a long time). Should I look into upgrading my 3.73 gears to 4.88s? Will it help performance off road? Any help would be appreciated!

actually, with 33's, 4.56 would be a better match. 4.88's will give you a boost in power but it will also eat at your gas a bit. if it were me, i would just save your money and stick with the 3.73's.

Go 5.13's, You'll have a screamin crawler! My 35's are wore down to 33 1/2in and I just got my 5.13's. I almost hate to go to 37's and lose the power. If your into saving money though do what WOL said. You can do alot with the amount of money it takes to re-gear. Ex. Pay your jk and house note for the month

Yeah , but it'd be a kick ass 12mpg!. I'm doing better now than with 4.10's I'm averaging 16mpg , remember my 35's are worn pretty good.

Wow, def better with the 5.13s.. To be honest I have no clue what mpg I'm getting with the 3.73s. If it helps off road though, I'd like to at least consider upgrading gears

I haven't off-roaded my gears and new locker yet, my frt driveshaft gave out after my gear install. I'm a 2wd until I get my ds fixed. I did put it in 4hi around the yard and it felt like the 4.10 did in 4low, if that helps any. If you wanna crawl, it'll definately help.
