Oddly enough, what I am reading either 3.73 or 4.1 will work well with 3.6l manual.

Just go with 4.56. You know you are gonna get 35s when those 33s wear out.

Are the tire sizes in this chart based on actual height mounted on the jeep or is it based on the measurement labeled on the tire, i.e. 285/70r 17?

With so many threads talking about how advertised height is different than actual height, I'm curious what this chart is based on now.

I can only assume it is based on actual tire height. I did not create this chart, but I do understand where you are coming from.

It is based on actual tire height fully loaded. Dude I am warning you that you WILL regret not going to 35's and going to at least 4.56

Thanks for clarifying about the chart.
I'm not the op so maybe the second comment was for the op. But what didn't you like about 33 and 4.10?

More than happy to honestly answer that question. 33's (and stock 32's) are simply too small and don't even look right for a JK, in 99 percent of any long term JK owner. Sure, when I bought my Jeep new I thought the stock 32's were big enough. THAT thought lasted, oh, about a week. Oh yes, you too will say goddammit why didn't I just get 35's and regear when you had to get new tires anyway. I'm totally satisfied now with my 315/70/17 Duratracs and 4.56 gears on my '13 automatic.

Please do NOT put yourself through the hell I put myself through buying tires and regearing twice

Heed ye these words of iron
