I'm thinking about putting on some flat fender flares on my 4dr jk. I have 33's and stock lift but eventually will be lifting it. Looking to see who has this set up or a smaller lift/bb

33s on a 4dr will look tiny with the fenders uncut. If you cut the fenders it will look terrible with 33s(IMO). Most people run 35 or larger on the JKUs. I'd like to see pics of this set-up cause maybe I'm wrong about the looks.

Well I'm currently running 33's with no lift and they definitely don't look tiny.

Is anyone running 33's on a 4dr with a BB or small lift (2.5-3.5)

a guy in our jeep club has a jku with 33s (305 70 r16) with a 2.5 lift
looks really good. but wants 35's now..
i think no matter what you'll end up going 35's in the future....
we always want bigger and better
i have a 2 door and i want to get the same 33's as him..
in my opinion...

Question about the 33s and a 2.5" lift.

A buddy and I have been thinking about this and came to the idea that running 33s on a 2.5" lift would offer better/more articulation than running the standard 35s on 2.5" lift? Is this proper thinking or is it just a flawed concept?

He also suggested the same would be true for a 3.5" lift on 33s....smaller tires would allow for MAXIMUM articulation? I don't necessarily know if this is true? Would the smaller tire essentially max out it reach to the ground before it even stuffed the fenders?

These are running through my head because I am stuck on 2.5" and 33s or 35s or a 3.5" with 33s or 35s? I am looking for maximum articulation while keeping LCG.

Also, the 33s are waaaay cheaper, unless I buy 15s and then I am paying extra for wheels!

I think this is on topic of were the OP was going? If not, ignore me and answer his question....I don't want to hijack!

You can get full articulation with 33's on a 2.5 or 3" lift. If you run 35's I would recommend trimming fenders or running flat fenders for full articulation. Also, you're gonna want to probably run a stubby bumper or trim your factory bumper to a stubby and trim the pinch seem for the rear tires. Here's my unlimited with 33's on a 3" BDS lift. I plan on going to 35's once I change out my fenders.

My set up is Tflex 2.5 coils, flats fenders and 35's. 33's were too small on the 4door in my opinion. This pic didn't have the back flats on but you get the idea.
