If u had a 6spd. Then I would say go for the 35s. That's what I have and I have no problems with it. But having an auto if u r not wanting to regear than go with 33s.

You dont have to sleeve and gusset right away with 35, just baby her around for a little while. Gearing, oh ya deffinatley do this, you'll wish you had if you dont. I have had 35 on for a year and a half now and done some serious trails, no bent c's yet....(looking for wood) Good luck with what ever you decide.

I think the fact you are even contemplating 35's should tell you your answer. If you get the 33's you will more than likely wish you had gone 35's. I run 35's on my jku with 4.10's and couldn't be happier. I will be going to 5.13's at some point but for now it is bearable. Just leave the overdrive off...

There is always the option of the in-between 33-35. A few mfg's make a 295/70R17 or 305/70R17. Toyo M/T, Cooper STT, BFG KM2 (new size 305/70R17). These measure out about 33.5-33.8 and usually can be run on an unlifted/small lifted JK even without spacers if using stock wheels.
There is a good thread on these..https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...res-Badass-IMO
I just ordered a set of the Toyo 295/70R17 tires and a TeraFlex Leveling Kit. Just decided I didn't want to run 35's on this Jeep and keeping the lift lower. AND I am trying to keep the mileage up.

Im loving this! Keep them coming! My Heart is set on 35's with either 2.5 or 3" coil lift. I know the 33's will be fine. Just think the JKU sits better on 35's.
