Default 33's with 3.21 gears?????

i was thinking about getting a set of 33's for my o7 jk but as it being an x model it has the 3.21 gears, would this gear ratio work ok with 33's or should i go up to maybe 4.10's

I am running a 2.5 inch lift and I am running 32's. Was considering 33's also. I have a Six Speed with 3.21 gearing. Is anyone running these?

I run this. It is O.K. but I would like 4.56s. If I were you I would do 4.88s and jump to the 35s. Please trust me on this one, it will not belong before you get the itch and 4.88s are cheaper and more common.

if you off road a lot 4.88s would be better. They would rev pretty high on the highway so if you do a lot of that type of driving I would do the 4.56s. All the installers I talked to offered 4.88s at a cheaper price due to availability.

I ran 35's on 4:88's on my 2009 "X" manual, and the RPM's on the highway were around 28 or 29. Gas consumption went through the roof however, around 8 in town and maybe 12 highway. Cost to look cool I guess, but never again for me. My off roading does not require hugh tires or gearing lower than my 2011 Rubi has already.

yea for me its mostly highway driving and some offroad maybe once a week, so im think 4.11's or 4.56's, the saving in gas will balance out the extra cost of the 4.56's ya know

A local buddy of mine ( PGJKU ) has an 07 Sahara Unlimited with 3.21's and runs GY Duratracs in a 32 or 33" I think . I would send him a message. I think he's very happy with his set up and he was very capable on a big JK run this past Summer with guys running 35's and up. We were all very impressed.

sure, it will be fine and i would go with it until you're ready to go 35's. at that point and time, regear to something like a 4.88 or 5.13. no point in wasting your money on anything less.
