Yes, some have issue's clearing the caliper's. If you're buying brand new then just make sure you buy a model that you know will fit (ton's of threads on JK Forum that discuss various options for 15's), or even go up to 16's - not a huge difference in tire cost. I personally run 33's on 17's and love it.

Should I be planing on switching gears?

I think you'd be fine to try it for a while and see how it feels. There will be a loss of power for sure but it's up to you to decide whether it's unbearable or not. The new pentastar engine is a crazy difference from the 11's and earlier so at least you've got that going for you!

I still tow my bass boat with it too That being said, slow crawling offroad will have you stalling a bit more often. But a 4:1 transfercase solved that problem for me
I have an auto 3.73 gears. I don't do any towing. I do spend some time on the highway so I don't want to lose too much power.

I would call and figure out your gearing. My 2007 jku x came with 4.10's which offer plenty of power with my 33's. dealership should know if you give them your vin

Thanks ill do that. I don't really mind losing power I understand that's part of upgrading to bigger tires. I just don't want to lose a huge amount because I do drive in the highway often.

You'll want to get a procal and reprogram for your bigger size and then keep OD off for highway. Should be fine.

So what your saying that 33s will be just fine? Would a procal or diablo tuner be a good investment as well?
