Unless you intend to do serious wheeling, the 33s would be the best choice. As mentioned, fewer expensive mods are needed and better economy. I have 33s on my ZJ and it will go anywhere a 35 will go. I have 34s on my JK and was wanting to go to 37s, but I don't have any trouble following Jeeps with larger tires (sometimes I have to take a different line) and the cost to get 37s is more lift, flat fenders, driveshafts and gears, plus the tires. Like your case, the end result would a Jeep that was less efficient, and harder to get in and out of. In many cases, smaller is better.

Thinking 33s
Great advice all around. But since I don't do a ton of off-roading ( I even have car seats in the back sometime), I'm probably sticking with 33s. So after much (probably too much) thought, here's my combo....
33" Mickey Thompson MTZs, Spidertrax wheelspacers, and Teraflex leveling kit.
Nothing crazy or over the top but definitely more aggressive.
Any thoughts?

One thing I would add on your list is front Quick Disconnects to your list...it makes a world of difference having the front swaybar disco'ed when your off-roading!

Nope...nothing wrong with that. I went with 33's and was very happy with my choice for my family's DD and weekend warrior! I am taking the next step and getting 35's for my next set so...I will see if I need to regear with 3:73 and 6spd and get compliants from my wife and 2 kids about the difficulty getting into the jeep.

I'm pretty sure you will get a 50/50 split vote from a performance standpoint. I would go with what is pleasing to your eye. IMO 35's look the best because the JKU is so big. Go to the show & tell page and look up the show your 33's & 35's threads and compare. Don't look at the 37's....... If you have the budget go 35's, 33's are the gateway drug.
