So is E too much for a 4door? Cause that's what i just got.... Almost new Really cheap. Haven't mounted them yet, Gotta love craigslist! $380.00

For $380 go buy a mouth piece to protect your teeth and enjoy not having spent $1500+ on tires!

Alot of people are running trail grapplers on both 2 and 4 door and they are E rated

It wasn't my goal to prove you wrong. I actually hoped you wouldn't interpret my posts like that. Being 47, I probably fall into the old fart category as much as anyone. Unfortunately, the ply thing falls into a pet peeve category for me and you got caught in it. I think that it's misleading, inaccurate, and its existence is redundant.

Please accept my apology. I know you were just trying to help. I hope you'll give me the benefit of the doubt and think the same of me.

I run D rated tires on my rig. 2 door with no backseat, no aftermarket bumpers, and soft top (3800 lb).

The dealer pumped them up to 47psi. I ran them for a while and didn't notice anything really. But.... on the highway, you will have a bone jarring ride and the rear end likes to skip sideways. I noticed something was wrong right there, and went straight to my tires and aired them down to my usual 32psi. Ah... smooth ride once again.

I plan on getting new tires in a bit and all the choices I want are E rated. And I don't even think twice about it.

Running toyo m/t open country 37x13.5 which have load range E.. Love'm.. Couldn't think of a different tire.. They stick to everything @20 psi

i run load range e terra grapplers and they ride fine the ride will be affected more by the pressure u run than anything else
