Tires are like breast implants. They always want bigger once they get them.

I'm running a BDS 2" coil lift with Bushwacker Flat Fenders, and Nitto Trail Grappler 295/70/17. That tire looks really good with my setup, but 35's would look awesome. I'm kicking myself for not getting the 35's.

I thought the same thing about the 35s, but after getting the 295/R70/17 Nitto Trail Grapplers, I'm glad I did. I have not seen that big of a difference in performance and I was afraid the 35s would bog me down. I'm not ready to regear yet. Like you the Nittos look great with a 2.5 inch lift.

I agree 100%

Another vote for 35". The 4.10 gears, D44 front, and longer wheelbase on the JKU Rubi make 35's the best option. A 2" budget boost will work, but a quality 3" lift is about perfect. Flat fenders make it even better. The longer wheelbase of the JKU makes those extra inches really important for breakover angle. I've high centered mine a couple of times where TJ's on 33"s didn't have issues. Mine are 16" wheels with 315/75 tires that convert to 35".

17" wheels and tires are cheaper than 18" or 20" tires alone.

If you are going 35s, you will need a spare tire carrier. The stock one will wear out with the extra weight
