In the top two pictures, I have to look carefully to figure out which tire is which. And even then I'm not completely certain. In the bottom picture, that rear tire looks WAY too small. I agree--picture angle can distort things. For example, these two tires are the same size ...

And they're 33s.

I think it's a better comparison when the same brand/style of tire are compared. Some companies 33s (or whatever size you name) are quite a bit smaller than other companies.

Another option: Put the air back in your tires. You'll get that inch back. Maybe not the best option, but it will work.

I was in the same boat as you looking at 35's...but only 3:73 gearing....so 33's were placed on as re-gearing was not in my budget! When I went with the 33's I decided only to get a 2" lift to keep the fender gap looking like 35's. I have had a several people think I am running 35's on my JK based on the stance and they are surprised they are only 33's.

Personally I would take the extra 1" BL out to reduce the fender gap!

Picture of mine with 2" lift and 33's

Just to give you some comparisons of 35's vs 33's..

Front Jeep (07Rubi2dr) (has 35's on 16inch rims vs 33's on 17 inch rims)

Red JK (RubiSteve07) has 35's on 17 inch rims vs my 33's
