Throwing 37's on is not a small undertaking. You need clearance for them, you need to address the steering knuckles (truss & gusset) you will need to address gears in an Auto or manual, be prepared for ball joints to wear quicker, brakes to wear quicker and to add enough bump-stop. I have a JKU with 2.5" Suspension, 37x12.5x17 MTR's and trimmed fenders. I have a d-30 up front with 4.88 gears, truss & gussets and Synergy ball joints. I ran both 33's and 35's with minimal modification prior to this. 37's are great, I love them, but just do your homework, and don't cheap-out on the items that will help support them...

I drive a 13' JKUR auto with 3.73 gears and a 2.5" TF coil lift. Went from stock 32" KM2 to 295/70/17 Toyo MT to 35/12.5/17 Toyo MT in a couple weeks. 295/70/17s rubbed (with 19/59 springs) without the lift and then looked small with the lift. So I switched to 35s which I'm happy with, the JKU begs for 35s or larger. That said, it really needs a regear, 4.56 in my estimation. At 2800 miles, it's getting a bit better as the engine and tranny break in. But it's still sluggish. They look great but if you're going to put 35s or larger on your JK, be prepared to spend $3k in upgrades to the axles and suspension - minimum, not including tires.

I have a wheel and Tire combo that weighs 98lbs with 3.73's and I have no problems with acceleration. I can still bark 2nd gear and do burnouts with 1st. So maybe its the auto trans that is the weak link in your case.

Like I said before Join a Jeep club see the stuff in person then make a decision. Your going to drool over 37's and want to have them depending on your budget, needs and wants you might just get 35's but your not going to know until you see it on a Jeep.

I just put a 2.5 RK Max travel lift on with 315/70 R17 GY Dura Tracs. With vehicle weight, they measure about 33.75". They ride great. Agree, the tire just seems to fit the JK perfect.

Thanks for all the help . I keep thinking about the Dura Trac 315/70R17 . At my age I'm not trying to keep up with anybody . I'm just trying to get some info to help avoid wasting money . Some people would say spending money on a brand new Jeep is wasting money , but what do they know ?

What are the specs on your Jeep ? Rim and rim size ? What do the tires measure ?

I also have the '13 JKU Freedom Edition. I went with 16X8.5 -6mm offset (about 4" BS) with 315/75R16 GY duratracs. 3" BDS lift. 3.73 gears with limited slip diff. With the TeraFlex 2.5 you will get very similar results. With the swaybar disconnected and at full flex you will get slight rubbing on the stock front fender flares if your wheels are not straight. The rubbing is very minimal and will not cause any damage to your flares (from my experience, I have been in that situation a few times). I absolutely love the setup with the Duratracs and would not recommend anything else.

2013 Unlimited Sahara with 3.73 L/S. Wheels are 17x9 "Standards" by Method Racing. They have 4.5" back spacing.

35's and 2.5" of lift seems to be the norm for most people who want to mod their Jeeps without doing any major work. I think that Jeeps look great with 35's.

Stock Jeeps just look small to me now since I'v done my mods
