Looking at spending some more money on My Jeep . Just Empty Every Pocket , right ? I have a '13 JKU Freedom Edition , auto trans , Max Tow Pkg / 3.73 rears and a few other options . I will be using the Jeep on weekends for light off road , camping , and maybe towing a small trailer . I think an AEV 2.5" spring lift with the front control arm brackets would be a decent lift . But tire size is still up in the air . I will be doing after market rims 8.5" or 9" with 4.5" or 5" BS . Tires , Goodyear Dura Trac , 285/70R17 or 315/70R17 . Can anybody help , give your experience , with these sizes ? Power loss ? MPG loss ? Thank you for your help , JB

I say go 37's . My 315's @ 26 psi only measure to be 34.5" loaded on the Jeep. So 37's will probably measure out to be 36" and weigh about the same. As mentioned above go big or go home. Your going to be out on the trail wishing you had another inch of ground clearance. Or your going to be at a light next to Toyota Tundra and wished you had gone bigger. Or worse your going to be at a club event and the guy with the 37"s is going to park next to you and your going to feel inadequate. Yep it's happened to me at a club event.
