Default 31x10.50R15LT ?

Hey guys, need a little help / input here.

I've searched this tire size and didn't find anything on it, prolly because it's smaller than oem!

Is or has anyone run this tire size on a JK? Anyone have pictures of what it looks like?

I'm curious because of the thread in the classifieds. I only off road my JK once a month kind of thing, the rest of the time it's on road and is used as a daily driver. So in my opinon this tire size would be ideal for gas mileage and no need for lift and to keep a little bit of power having an auto.

What is the closetest size that matches 31x10.50R15LT, i don't quite understand what it would equal, 265/75/15?

Thanks!

265/75R15 is approximately the metric equivalent to a 31x10.50. this is one of the smallest factory tires that was sold on stock X and sport model JK's and that's what it will look like.

Intersting, thanks for the replies.

I've currently got the Goodyear SR-A's 255/75/17's.

Just want something more aggressive without breaking the bank.

For $700 the 31's looking like a decent option.

No way in hell I would buy aftermarket wheels to fit 31s. just my own

JKs come with 16" wheels and larger. You can fit a 15" with some brake caliper mod. BUT you would have to buy 15" wheels. and the cheapest I know of are like $50 a pop. Those are black steelies. If you are trying to go smaller for economy you might want to weigh those steel wheels verses the factory ones.

To me some rubi pull offs are the smartest move for someone in your shoes. They are cheap, good, and wont slaughter mpg. If you wanted to keep factory wheels (it looks like you have 17s) you could go with a 245/70R17 that is 30.8 x 9.8 and you can get them in a goodyear mtr kevlar, duratrac, bfg km/2 or bfg a/t, toyo open country (and others) for $175 - $200 a tire.

I think the smallest tire they came on is a 29" aka 225 75 16

Im running 31x10.5 BFG All Terrains on 15x8 Crager Rims. I had these tires left over from my last rig (Isuzu Rodeo). Thankfully they're almost dead and im ordering 33x12.5 Goodyear Duratracs.

Hope that helps.

I've seen a few Rubi take offs with rims on Winnipeg Kijiji, keep an eye out there and I'm sure you'll find a set
