Default 315/70R17 duratracs- '15 rubi wheels and spacers or aftermarket?

I know this has been covered, but I need some help going one way or the other.

Bottom line, I do like the looks of my 2015 rubi wheels. I already have spidertrax spacers. I'm on a "budget" as in I'm charge carding this mod and plan to pay it off in a couple of months. Sounds like a no brainer, but part of me is worried about having spacers, and wheels that are too narrow for 315's.

If I went with AEV or method wheels, I'm out another $1200. Granted I should be able to recoup some of that by selling my stock wheels/tires.

Help, I can't sleep!

I've got 35/70/17 KO2s on stock wheels with spacers. They're slightly bigger than 315s. No problems in 4 years running the spacers. I like the stock wheels.

Plenty of people are running 35's on stock rims with no issue. The only concern might be that some shops will not mount wider tires on narrow rims. If you run into that, just find another shop. And be sure to chalk test to find the proper contact patch for your specific setup.

For the spacers, there are a bunch of threads with positive reports. The only negatives you will find are from people either buying cheap spacers with sub-standard hardware, or people who can't be bothered to install them correctly and/or maintain them. If that is you, get new rims. And if you don't want to pay that much for rims, there are a ton of cheaper options out there, gotta be something else that you can live with.

I installed the AEV 2.5" DualSport XT Suspension with AEV Geometry Correction Front Control Arm Drop Brackets and Spidertrax Black 1.5” Spacers with Factory Willys Wheeler 17” Black Wheels and Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac 315/70/R17 Tires. Goodyear Duratrac Tires are great DD and off-road performance and quite compared to stock BFG Mud Tires. I was also thinking about Method Wheels, but I would have selected black and really once they are mounted on tihe tires you really cannot see the wheels design. Just like you mentioned and I saved $1000 - $1200 on 5 wheels and lugs which paid for the AEV Suspension.

I just mounted 315/70/17 MTZ on 2013 Rubi wheels. Looks amazing, rides and drives great. I am using Spidertrax spacers, for several years now, never had a problem. the new Rubi wheels are a very good looking and unique wheel. I go for it and don't look back.

No issues with the 315/70/17 duras on my stock Rubi wheels and 1.5" Spidertrax spacers for the past 2500 miles, incl. 4 off-road excursions airing down to 10-15 psi. America's Tire wouldn't mount the KO2s b/c they were just a tiny bit wider, but the Duras were no problem. Really liking them.

I went with AEV Saltas anyways. Turns out my dad wants to run my wheels on his 2012 Rubi. Now I just need to swap the TPMS sensors around and wait on the wheels.
