Default 303 Aerospace Protectant

I guess this would fall under the guise of protecting the jk, so here is my take on this stuff...

IT IS GREAT!!!

I read all the posts, looked at their website, and found where to buy some locally and read their little brochure before buying. I bought 2 of the small bottles (7-10 ounces...I can't remember) for $7.99 each and detailed the whole jeep and part of my wife's mommyvan. I used only half a bottle. I was amazed, impressed and really pleased with the results. I washed the jeep with dishwashing detergent and let it dry, then pulled it under the carport and went to work. It is pretty much a spray and wipe operation. Spray it on, wipe it until dry, and turn your wipe cloth when it starts to get wet. I used 2 of the microfiber towels and did the whole thing. I don't remember the brand of towel, but they are blue and came in a pack of 5 or so from walmart. I did the fenders, the top and windows, all the glass and then the body. My wife came out and commented that it looked better than when she let me buy it...uh...when we bought it All that took about an hour.

It darkened all the black plastic back to black without making it shiny. It made the top (soft top) look great, and it made the soft top windows look a lot better. Some of the small scratches disappeared from those windows, the larger scratches diminished somewhat. I wiped down the interior with it and everything really looks better than it did new. It did not leave the interior or exterior plastic sticky or oily looking like armorall or similar would. It did not cloud the clear plastic in front of the gauges. I drove to town and back and it seemed to not attract as much pollen as before. When I got home I went over the exterior again with a dry cloth to clean up some overspray and to touch up where I missed the first time.

I could tell where I had missed, because it didn't feel smooth like the areas that I treated with this stuff. It didn't make the water bead up like a wax would, and that surprised me. Overall I was thoroughly pleased with the results I obtained. I don't think you will go wrong with this stuff.

I am in no way connected with the company that makes this stuff. I just wanted to share my experience with it.

Thanks for reminding me! It's on the list of things to do tomorrow. BTW if you ever need to waste some time: http://www.autopia-carcare.com/how-to.html . That has more info about making a car look good than I'd ever want to know.

Dishwashing detergent=BAD for automotive paint! Will cause a haze in the clearcoat eventually.

Yeah, I did it just this once to get the old wax and road gunk off so that the 303 could work its magic.

The pollen repellant may have been overstated in my first post... I left work this morning in sort of an orange colored jeep instead of the red one I parked last night.

Where can you get this stuff?

I already have some scratches from bushes/tree branches and expect more, but would also like to take care of it at the same time.
