Got the Tera 2.5 an I got closer to 3. I am running 35's on 3.73 with an auto. Not ideal but tolerable until I can re-gear.

With flat fenders you could fit 37's, but they would most likely rub at full flex. Although there are a few people here that run this setup.

I'm running the RC 2.5 w/ the Daystar 3/4" spacers and 33's. I love this set-up but I have had lots of issues with my lift. I am on my 3rd set of springs and I've blown 3 shocks. RC has been great about getting replacements to me but it still sucks to have to replace your lift parts every few months. I have never heard of Teraflex springs sagging down or their kits blowing shocks. Needless to say if I was to do it again I would go with the Teraflex kit.

Im all for teraflex over rough country.
I have seen alot of spring problems with a couple new jeeps and many older jeeps were the springs sag pretty quickly...
I think you look at it as you get what you pay for and that sometimes spending that extra money on such a big part of the jeep is worth the money

Thanks for the welcome. I am new at this stuff as you might imagine. I want about 3" of lift to run either 33 - 35 tires. I hear the 2.5 gets 3". What does the 3" lift achieve. What are the differences? If i run 35's would the 3" be better. If I use the 2.5 can I convert to the 3" later with not too much trouble. Does the 3" have spring spacers that takes the 2.5 to 3". Sure alot of dumb questions but I would appreciate your advice.

Between TeraFlex and Rough Country the TeraFlex product will come out ahead in ride quality, product quality, and also their customer service is some of the best in the off-road industry. I think (but am not 100% sure) that when TeraFlex quotes lift heights they are measuring in the rear of a four door since this will be where you will see the least amount of lift. Based on this process if you look at a TeraFlex 2.5" you should get about 3" in the front and about 2.5" in the back. On a 3" lift you will probably see around 4" up front and 3" in the back.

My recomendation would be to go with the TeraFlex 3" just because it is much more complete than the 2.5" kit, and if you add heavier bumpers down the road you will probably be pretty close to the amount of lift you are looking for.

Thanks Randy
Hey Randy first let me say welcome to the forum and congrats on your new JK! As far as answering your question, if you are really set on Rancho or Teraflex I'd say Teraflex all the way...but your timing might be just right as Off Road Evolution just came out with their 3.5" Enforcer Suspension. They make great products which are thoroughly tested and MFG in America. Good luck with your choice
