How much base timing are you guys running with the 8lb and 12lb tunes? Is the tune set up to pull 1 or 2 degrees per pound? Thanks.

I got a call yesterday from Prodigy about the progress on my jeep. ( very good communication ). Anyway they where baseline dynoing my jeep stock/ with the superchip/ and then with there Diablo tuner. Then they are going to install the turbo and tune and dyno. This way we will see what it is stock/ superchiped/diabloed and then turboed all with 35 inch MTR"s. I will keep posting the progress!

i don't have a lot experience in turbos but isn't an 8lb of boost already a lot for a daily drive engine ? won't it detract the engine life ?
at what boost do the guys in RIPP are getting their 240 rwhp ? so we can compare the numbers of ripp supercharger vs the numbers of this turbo system at the same boost

It all depends on the engine. If the engine is built strong from the factory then it's not a big deal. I had 10lbs of boost out of my 350z on a stock engine and beat the crap out of it for 90k miles before a rod finally let go on me. I was making 410whp and 400wtq. My stock dyno was 240whp 235wtq. Although I've seen some vehicles only be able to hold 4-6 lbs of boost before they pop. It really just depends. From what I've heard from these guys here is that the engine is strong its the auto trans that's weak so I'd be more worried about that then the engine.

I know of some diesels running around town at 60psi.. all depends on how the motor is built

I'd don't think egts would really matter all that much unless your towing. Usually the egts only get high at the upper rpm ranges and I don't think you'll be red lining your jeep on a regular basis. Down low and mid range it prolly won't really get all that high. Now that's just going off my past experiences with turbos and super chargers so it could be different but that's my experience with egts.

Not sure on pricing, just call em and see what they are charging these days. One of the things they do is change the clutch packs and probably line pressure. I am by no means a transmission expert, I have done all of my own work on all of my cars but transmissions are completely foreign to me. All I know is that whatever they do works and have used them in the past and have friends that have used them also.
