the autos are different i have a 6spd and was running 3:21's with 35's for a loong time and it was OK. just got 4:88's and it's 1000 times better. you can just get the AEV programmed takes 2 seconds are flash the computer. im sure you would be fine. but with the auto if you are going with a bigger tire than most of the places i have read say to go with 5:13's search around on the forum there are A LOT of threads on gears. the subject has been beaten to death then beaten again. just go a search for gears and you will get a ton of posts. hope this helps some

Pretty sure it'd suck, I had 4.10's with my 35's and it was barely tolerable and no overdrive in an auto

If it helps your decision any, I've got 33s with a 6-speed manual and 3.73s ... there is NO way I would put larger tires on my JK unless I could financially commit to the simultaneous installation of 4.56 or 4.88 gearsets front and back.

35's, 3.73, and an auto and loving it. sure 4.88 would be better but i have no problems with the current gearing. unless you have a grand laying around, i wouldn't worry about it. its certainly low on my mod list.

Default the

the key is to reprogram your shift points. the AEV Procall is the thing to get. 130.00 and your good. But it will be sluggish. even you reprogram. but not as bad. i'm doing 35's and i have 3.73's as well. i know with in 6 to 8 months however that i will be regearing to 4.88 or 5.13. have not desided.

so my sugjestion would be to get the 35's. and have it in the back of your mind thsat you have to rear gear sometime. and pick up a Procal. hope this helps. oh i have an auto as well.

I have 33"s and 3.73s and an Auto, and HATE HATE HATE it. Every little hill while on a highway, it shifts to a lower gear... Thankfully i am buying a Rubi tomorrow and will have 4.10 gears finally, but still plan to regear to 5.13 and put 35"s on

Hey, I am running 35x13.5 Cooper STT'S auto with 3.73 gears, and it's not that bad. I personally haven't noticed a huge loss of power. But keep in mind, living in boston I do alot of city driving where I am not gunning it everywhere. I will be getting gears at some point, but I have other stuff on mind before I do it. I say do it, and don't look back...
