What he said. They actually measure about 34.25 and are fairly light so I'm guessing 37 would be a lot worse.

Yes. 4.10 are ok, gets better as you go up. If you have a Rubi I will sell you my 4.10 for cheap.

Its not so much the question about the gears "failing" but a question of performance. You will get none with 373 gears running 37s plain and simple. Have a look at this chart itll give you an idea of how different gearing will effect your performance
