3.6 auto regear 4.56? 4.88? 5.13
Just installed 35s on my 2013 2 dr 3.6 automatic has 3.21 gears and there killing me! I want to regear I see most ppl on here say go with 5.13. Then I have local jeep ppl telling me that the 5.13 aren't very strong due to the tiny pinion. My real question is what kind of mpg and rpm do they get at say 75mph? I am getting from 13-16 now with 3.21s but 5 gear is roughly 2000 rpm at 80 so it nonexistent. 4th is 2000rpm at 60. Need some advice I see most if the forums are on the 3.8 or 6sp don't help me much

With the 4.56 gears that will give you the same ratio as running stock tires with 4.10s. A really good ratio. If you go with 4.88s your Rpms will run a little hi. Great for off road but not for the highway. At 70 you will be running about 1500 rpm higher than the 4.56s. I have stock 4.10s with 35s and its equivelent to running on 3.73s. I have a set of 4.88s to put in that I bought to put in my 07 3.8. I'm debating about selling them and going with 4.56s or moving up to 37s.

I am at the same point, although I can't say the 3.21 with 35s in an automatic was unbearable on the road. After almost a year, I am now getting to the point where I want more power.
I decided to go with 4.56. There are a lot of great posts here that will help, but everyone with new 3.6 in Auto has said the 4.56 is plenty. If you have plans of going higher 37s or 40s than moving up to 4.88 is a better choice. Otherwise, I think 5.13 is overkill unless you are building a crawler.

For the 35's 4.56's are good esp for a daily driver. I would say go with 4.88's, it will be better off road and if you decided to run 37's later you you have the gearing to do so. With 35's between 4.56 and 4.88 its only a 2-3 hundred rpm difference.

Is there any locals there with a 3.6 and 4.10's and 35's that you can drive?!?
I help build a few newer jeeps last year and one Sahara has 3.73's and 35's and is a daily driver and also a new Rubicon with 4.10's and 35's as a daily driver. Both feel great with power and unless you do a lot of rock crawling I would never even suggest 4.88's or 5.13's. We have a newer Rubicon that has 37's and 4.88's and runs well on RPM's

Ic most gears have a longer warranty on the 4.56 than the 4.88 but still kinda between the two. Also has any done lockers in there's? I want to locker it while "they" are in the axle
