3.6 with 37s

HA!! Your right. I read the OP then got interrupted. Came back and read a few more posts to the thread towards the end on fuel and got interrupted. Came back and just started typing like I was on the last thread.
I just went back and read the OP again....
I apologize for getting off topic. You were right! Getting old is supposed to make you smarter.
In regard to the OP. This Rubi runs 4.11 gearing on the flat lands. Premium for 37s would be 4.56 (a must living in the hills as a DD). Setup like it is will cruise 75 mph and get 18 mpg at that speed.

That is if you stay out of the pedal too much.

well yea, that's a diesel for you. Delete all the crap and give it a tune and you are good to go. My 350,000 mile 7.3 still gets 17, much better than stock.

I don't see how somew of you are getting 17mpg in a jeep. I have a 3.6 with 37's & 4.56 and I get 12.2 around town and 13.3 on the highway. I've done 99% hwy driving the last 2 weeks and it stays the same no matter how I drive. mind you if I am running late and I'm driving 80 or so the number drops. Please share your secrets. I am considering regearing to 5.13 to get back my acceleration as well.

Depends on how you drive and where you live. someone in florida should get better mileage then someone in colorado. Altitude and steep grades will have an affect on MPG. More then that is how you drive, if you drive it like a dragster from the stop lights and have you foot on the gas until you are 20 feet from a stop your mileage is going to suck. I get about 15 mpg all around and avoid the highways as much as I can with 40's and 5.13.
