3.6 with 37s

I'm a 2011 jk manual 6 speed with 4.88s on 37s Nitto mud grapplers on a 4.5 aev lift. If I drop to 5th gear, I can hit over 100mph. A bit sketchy but had my axles reinforced. I have a 3.8 with over 100k miles on but she still runs strong. No engine upgrades other than a redrock snorkel. I'll send in pics next time cause I know there will be people saying I'm lying.
To the OP, Most of the problem with your jeep being a turd in the mountains is the thin air and the weight of the tires is killing you. A 35" M/T on a regular wheel will be 100lbs a corner. Switch to a A/T tire and save weight where it counts, reducing rotational mass will be the best mod you can do to get back some of the drivability.

Cs. So I don't see my tires roll past me on the highway. Would you say something else if I told you I had dana60s? Don't know why it was such a problem that I said I reinforced it.

[QUOTE=DKJEEP;4226240]Explain to me why reinforcing your axles helps you go to 100??????? I swear the level of retardation for jeep owners has gone to astronomical levels.

Along with gravity and grades in the 6=8% range. My stock JKU Sahara with 4.10 gears struggles up these grades as well.

My '09 JKUR is running 37s with 5.38s and does well here in the SW Colorado mountains. The occasional gear drop to near redline heading up to Silverton, but otherwise fine. Manual front hubs does help in that regard. When the 3.8 decides to give it up we'll look into a V8.

Nobody said shit about a pothole or obstacles. And I quote....
He is implying that its safer to do 100 in a jk because his axles are reinforced like it makes one half ounce of difference.
