3.5 lift with 4 shocks
Dears,
im buying Rock Krawler 3.5 XFactor which come with 3.5 coil springs and many options for the shocks.
Do you think it I choose the ARB 4 to 6 shocks would that be ok? My concern is that the shock will be taller than the Coil springs.
Note that the website (northridge) allows many options for 4 shocks (ARB, fox, rancho) with the kit.

For the amount of money that you are about to spend, you should mosey over and look at the lifts that Metalcloak offers. IDK if availability/shipping to the Middle East plays into it, but you'll be hard pressed to find someone on this forum recommend RK lifts.

Those shocks will likely be too long for that listed lift. Too long of a shock and you'll lose travel, typically in the compressed range. It would be terrible to lift and excessively bumpstop it to protect shocks that were too long.

You are looking at OME 60066L & 60067L, correct? Travel is about 11.4" front and 11.2" rear. They'll be fine. Actually, those are the specific shocks MetalCloak recommended and sold for their 3.5" coils up until they released their own rocksport shocks. I have been running this MC/OME setup for 5 years, works just fine.
MC 3.5" coils have a free-length that is 2" longer than RK 3.5's , but I think RK includes coil retainers (?) so drooping and losing a coil shouldn't be an issue. I saw. Be sure to stuff the tires and double-check the bumpstops so you don't over-compress.
And of course, since I am running MetalCloak, I will second that recommendation. Definitely a company worth a second look.

Rock Krawler is a poor choice. Its a machine shop that puts out a lift that they only make about half of. They outsource a good portion of the lift and quality control is suspect. I would put them on par with Rough Country although Rough Country has a better fit and finish to their components. RK also designs stuff not to work well with others components. As far as shock set up you should be fine, if you find they drop the coil you can always add limiting straps (good idea anyway) or simply move some brackets around.
I would also go with Metal Cloak over RK any day of the week. The two links are worth looking at if you are actually considering buying something from RK. Good luck with your project.

It will be a ticking time bomb, but doesn't have to be done immediately. The boot that protects the TC side CV joint will rip and spew all the grease, drying the joint out. You'll see the signs (grease flung under the tub) and hear the dry CV joint clicking if you didn't see the grease in time. Best just to budget for that upgrade and know it's coming down the pike.

Yes, referring to the front DS. Do you have 2dr or 4dr? If you have a 4dr, the rear is more forgiving due to the wheelbase and CV joints on both ends.
It's hard to judge the life on the front DS at that height. I've seen some go pretty fast, and I've seen others that wheeled pretty good get 15k+ miles out of em at that height. It's just best to keep an eye on it and have it mentally slotted for an upgrade along the way.

Thank you so much for your valuable advice. I have a 4 door jk. I think Im going to change the front DS now and keep the back one for a later stage.
any suggestions on the brands, I read some good feedbacks on Adams brand.
