Default 3" or 4" Lift?

OK I'm finally in the market for my 2012 JKU (Dealer is on the hunt for a natural green 6-Speed) and once I get it I plan to lift it right away. I've had plenty of time to do my research and the more I read the more expensive it gets... I plan on using my JKU for mostly recreating (mellow dirt roads to difficult bouldery trails). My plan was a full traction 3" long arm running 35's. The problem lies wherein what if I decide 35's arn't for me and want to go to 37's? Should I just go with the full traction 4" long arm? This will allow me to run 35's then if I choose I can go to 37's alot easier down the road. Any advice and opinions are welcomed as this will be my first Jeep. I know I'm not going to get it right the first time and there is going to be alot of changes, frustration, and $$$ but thats part of the fun being a Jeep owner right?... Thanks for the help!

X4 on flat fenders. It's the way I'm going and it gives me 2 years waiting on new 35" wearout to beef the D30, save for a 4.88 regear (6sp) and buy 37". And of course to get a rear bumper/tire carrier|

Do coil overs just bolt in in place of a standard coil? Are they typically compatible with most long arm lifts or are there different components that need to be installed so they will work?

Both EVO Enforcer and EVO DoubleD Long Arm Kits are available in 35" or 37" tire configuration with a simple change of bumpstop extenstions.

Are most lifts adjustable to increse height by 1-2" with the use of taller coils and shocks or do you need to purchase different arms or componens?

For lifts of 6"+ a long arm will allow for more articulation.
Thats what I thought but I havent really dealt with lifts before. When running coil overs the coil over itself replaces the coil and the shock correct? How do they mount up? Do they just bolt to the existing shock mounts or are there certain "Shock towers" that need to be installed to install the coil over?

I would prob do the 3 in lift and if you wanna do 37s someday then trim your fenders or add the coil spacers.

3.5 RE and flats will clear 37's at full flex. Without the flats you can eat some fender with a 33 if you do the flex kit. Unless you have them already, front and rear lockers will get you over much more than larger tires ever dreamed of. I run a 33 A/T firestone on most trips and as a daily driver tire and hang with and do as good as CJ's on 39.5" tires. Taller tires do not always win the battle.
