I've been contemplating the feasibility of building a sturdy base for it to make it into a bench for additional seating for the garage man cave area.

Mines basically been thrown in garage never use it. Now definitely gonna sell it. Didn't know anyone would want one.

If I ever need to drive more people, it's usually short distances and people can sit in the back on the floor

I wrapped mine in a xmas tree bag and put it ontop of all the other stock parts I've removed in the last year.

Put two eyebolts into a ceiling joist and use clothesline to snug it up close to the ceiling. If you're worried about weight, put the eye bolts into two different joists.
I have 4 eyebolts in the ceiling and hang my 4 door hardtop from them.
Easy, quick, and efficient.

I like the man cave seat idea. I may try and work on that this weekend.

Mine came out on day two of my Jeep life as well. I have it on a shelf in my garage. I don't see me ever putting it back in but can't bring myself to sell it either. I will probably sell it though, I want a frame less soft top soon!
