2dr driveshaft help!!!!!!!!!!!
i just installed a 2.5" lift and 35's i know since i have a 2dr the chance of driveshaft going bad is higher, i know a 2.5" lift wont hurt them bad but it gave me about 3.25" of lift, i was just wondering which driveshaft is more likely of going bad first, the front or rear on a 2door, cant replace them both at the same time cause of cost, i know i would go with coast driveshafts tho ,thx

Keep an eye on the front.... I had to change mine not long after lifting my 2 door, I'm still running my stock rear (3rd season since lift)...
I went with a Tom Woods 1310, I'm probably going to get the 1350 for the rear sometime.

I had 35's 2.5" lift with stock driveshafts for about 2 years now and no issues so far. So don't worry just yet, just plan that someday they will need to be replaced.
Get the life out of the stock ones as long as you can.

Another vote for just waiting until you need one. But, I would recommend you put 'crawling underneath and looking for grease splatter' on your list of routine maintenance, as opposed to just waiting until you hear it.

my front boot ripped on the 4th off road outing only 6 weeks after my 2.5" lift..
it nick the tranny pan and put a decent nick in it.... I have the stock tires 32".
went with a coast 1310.. not sure I'd wait just because I don't like taking the risk of more severe damage.

not exactly. a 4" on a two door with a maual transmission front and rear drive shafts will go over time. the only reason why the auto 2 door and four doors have the problem with the driveshaft is because the boot always comes off at the auto transmission pan.
