295/70/17 or 305/65/17
I have a 2011 JKU currently with 285/70/17. Planning on getting new tires in 295/70/17 or 305/65/17. Considering the Cooper ST Maxx and the MasterCraft Courser mxt. I can't decide which size I like better. My Jeep has a Teraflex leveling kit ( 2 inch front, 1 inch rear). Would love to hear you guys feedback on which size you think would be best and see any pics you have of either size tire with a leveling kit. Thanks in advance.

That looks good! Thanks for the pics.
I am an AEV 3.5" Lift (and running light so probably closer to 4") and am running Cooper Discoverer STT Pros (295/70/17) on MB Razor Wheels! For me two door in my eyes, a perfect set up! The 295s measure out to exact 33" for me right now. Here's a few pics, but it looks even better in person! <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=650782"/> <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=650783"/> <img src="https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=650784"/>

So, first measurement, from the ground to the top of the sidewall (where the outside lug lines up) measured about 32.25":
Then, I took a board from the center of the tread out to the sidewall at the highest point of the tire, and that measured almost exactly at 32.75" (And yes, the board looks like it is going on an angle, but it is just the illusion that the camera creates at this angle with the curved tire and the wheel well liner...I checked with a level that it was straight out):
And lastly, The lug to lug distance on the tread measured approximately 10.5", but the overall with of the tire at the sidewall mounted is about 11.5":
If you use the discount tire calculator for this size tire, it calculates at 11.6" width, 33.26" height, so I am actually not too far from this, but if I drop the psi a bit more, I may drop in size a bit more. But right now at 40 psi (38 psi cold), my measurements aren't too far from from advertised.
Hope this helps! Let me know if you want more pics, or different measurements, or if something seems wrong and I can go back and measure again!

Here is a link to a good site for your questions, as well as a pic of 295/70s on a stock suspension and wheel set up on a JKU Sport for an idea:

And here is the pic from the site as well (This is not my Jeep and take now credit to the photo, just see the link about for reference and citation):
