Default 295/65R18 or 275/70R18 Durtrac's

Hey all,

so i have decide to go with some duratrac's but am now stuck on size

I'm keeping the stock Sahara Rims, and need to decide on 295/65R18 or 275/70R18

I used and online calculator and found the following :

Name Spec Sidewall Radius Diameter Circum
Stock 255/70-18 7.0in 16.0in 32.1in 100.7in
Duratrac 295/65-18 7.5in 16.5in 33.1in 104.0in
Duratrac 275/70-18 7.6in 16.6in 33.2in 104.2in

Not sure how accurate that above chart is....

I just cant decide 295/65R18 or 275/70R18
i have no lift and don't plan on putting one in, or do i plan on putting wheel spacers in until after my wife has the baby.( Pregnant women cant jump :P )

I just don't want them to rub anything ?

Help would be appreciated.

Do you want a wider tire? The are almost identical in height.
Which one is less expensive?

I have the Kelly Safari TSR in 275/70 18, basically the same as the Duratrac, and ran without spacers for a while. There was only a slight rub on the air dam at full turn. If you go to the 295's it will rub more with the extra width and no lift.

Default Go with 275, if you don't want it to rub

I had 295/65/18 on my stock sahara rims. They would not mount without 1.5" spacers. They come in solid contact with the rear sway bar. They would also hit the front plastic air dam when turning. So if you don't want to mess with spacers, do the 275's. I can't be 100% sure they won't rub, but I am a 100% sure that 295 wide will rub

Get the wheel spacers. You'll like the aggressive stance without the lift and be able to fit the bigger tires you want.

I've got 80,000 miles on my 1.5 spidertrax wheel spacers. wheel it twice a month if it's unsafe it's news to me.

Well, suprize to me, i went back to the shop to chat with them and express my concerns about the 295/65R18 rubbing....

So after chatting a bit he was like ,
Shit son....

lets just throw them on and see....

so he did....

only place the rub is the air dam, and the front sway bar (at full lock)

the rears don't come any way near the sway bar.....

don't know how bad they will rub with articulation but....

Dam they look mean on my jeep

now for payday .....
