Default 285's and OME lift= too much lift for that size tire??

Trying to decide between 35's and 285's, I am trying to figure out if the OME lift (HD front/Med Rear) would be too much lift for a 285 tire? I don't want it to look like a stock Jeep with a big lift and too small a shoe!

Thoughts, comments?

honestly probably 35's in my opinion.............. I run 265's and they do look really small, 285s would be a little better but I think 35s would look perfect on the lift

I've got the OME with HD front and Med rear with 285's. Looks good in my opinion.

Wow, that does look really great. Remember though, that jeep has got a serious winch and serious bumper that helps it out a lot. With nothing on that front end, it might not turn out as well.

Once again though, very nice setup!

What kind of height will the OME give you? i am thinking i will just not do a bidget boost at all and just go straight to a big boy lift

I ran my stock Rubicon 32's with my OME LT lift for six months. With the stock fenders it looked fine, and worked quite well both on and off road.

I know you are all aware, but 285 is a tire WIDTH and has no bearing on diameter until you take the second and third numbers, (65R18,70R17,75R16 etc) into consideration. So a 285 could be 32" in diameter or 35" in diameter.

That said, I think your 285 mm width tire will be fine, because I think the oddball look with smaller tires is due mostly to the width, not the height. I am running 275/65R18 with a 2.5 Coil lift and it looks OK.
