Here are my 33"s stuffed up in the back:

No, trimming it is the point. You shouldnt hit it after trimming it even with no lift and 35's. Mine isnt trimmed, but I think I get away with it because my lift pushes my axle back by 1". I may trim it anyway just because i dont like that sharp point anywhere near my tire. Its not likely I would ever hit it, but Im not willing to take that chance. Ive stuffed my tire in there as far as I can get it without a problem, but Ive always looked at that pointy lil sucker. Even thought about just taking a sledge and folding it over, but it only takes a sec to trim them.

You can run 35 with no lift but you nead at least: flat fenders, trimmed air dam and pinch seams. With rear adjustable control arms you might not need to trim your pinch seams.

Rockkrawler control arms moves the rear end back 1" that is the reason you don't need to cut the pinch seam with 35. But looks like it moves too far and you hit the rear bumper when flexing.

I hit more than that. Thats why Im modifying that bumper and gutting the rear fenders. It will look good when Im done. Its all temporary until I get a tire carrier.

mine did not fit on stock spare carrier. I purchased the teraflex HD hinge with adjustable carrier but not installed yet. Pretty good reviews on this product. A litlle bit expensive but you get what you pay for.

I tried to get better pics, but the iPhone camera is shite when its bright outside. So I roughly have 3-just over 3in of clearance between the pinch seam. It may get cut any way. But Im in lazy mode right now and dont feel like doin anything...lol
