Most tires that are around the 33-34.5 inches in diameter, will be around that 121 index or 3195 max load amt..For wheeling, obviously sidewall construction and tread composition needs to be looked at.

In adding, the MTR with Kevlar should get a hard look in a 35/12.5 (111 and E)

I went with the Goodyear Duratrac 315/70/17. Ater researching they were the best all round tire for trailing, rain and snow that i found. Also, they were the lightest which was very important for my build. I love the tires. They have an aggressive look and are extremely quiet on the road. I can barely hear any hum with the softop and windows open.

I'll chime in and say, what about load range D. Its an 8 ply, good compromise between on and off road. I have the Hankook dynapro MTs in a 315/70/17 and have performed beautifuly on and off road. No punctures or gashes, and wear is excellent. Plus, they're a lot less expensive than an MTR or almost anything else out there. They ride true at 34" with 32#. I air them down to 12# on the trail and grip anything and everything without hesitation. Just throwing them out there.

After lots of reading I went with Mickey Thompson ATZ 33 X 11.5 X 17 and wrapped them on Rugged Ridge satin black wheels.

Very happy with my choice. Tires have 9000 km on them wearing very well, they have a nice hum that I love to hear, and a noticeable rumble pulling away from a light.

No issues in heavy rain, light train work they hook up very nice....snow performance... I will know in a few months time.

No issues with balance and I rotate all 5 every 5000km

I would say I've burned up 1/32 of tread this far and I run 30psi on the road. Very nice ride and they are only 55 lbs each

With the TF spacer level kit got a great look and no rubbin

When these are done I will do Mickey Ts again but in the MTZ 33 x 12.5 17 min. With a small possibility of increasing to a 35 same width.... Will see I do lots of highway as my DD and its a auto with factory 3:73s and the good old 3.8

Good luck with choice

Its a RC 2.5" coil lift I swapped off of my 4 Dr rubi on trade in. But I think I netted more like 2.75".

I don't know, all I can say is that out of all the tires I've had on jeeps, the Duratrac's have been the best all around tire for me...

I live in New England and I don't want to have to worry about the weather keeping me from going out on so e 200 mile road trip to go visit my mom or go see a friend who's in town.

The Duratrac's I have now are 285/70/17's and I've toyed with upgrading to 315/75/17's they would be Duratrac's as well

Matthew
