285/75/R16 or 255/85/R16
I was wondering if I went with the 285/75/R16 tire if my tire would rub if I do like a U-turn or full wheel turn. Or should I get the slimmer 255/85/R16's. Or does it depend on the tire? I was hoping on getting the Cooper Discoverer ST. Would any body like to share their thoughts and or experiences?
Thanks.
Thanks.

I have no experience with the size you are looking at but I would get want you want and run spacers. Spacers are relatively cheap to run and will allow you to run what you want.

Im running 285/75R16 studded snow tires and they dont seem to be rubbing in full turn and I have the stock 16" steel wheels that my X came with and they are at stock back spacing. I hope this helps, IDK if there is any difference between the tires you want in that size and the ones that I am running in that size but there you go; I also have a 2.5in lift and I don't know if that changes anything. Good luck!

Well I see you are running the mud terrains, so maybe I shouldnt get any rubbing when turning. Ya I dont feel like putting spacers. Thanks, anyways I'm leaning towards the 285 for now.

I was running the km2s, but they really suck on ice. The esp was working like a champ to make me look good.. lol! I don't remember how to change the signature or I would. But the 285s fit and work just fine on my jeep.
