You can add some washers to the steering stops. There's a writeup about it. Beats giving $200 for spacers if ur going to get wheels later on.

You don't have a lift do you? I'm not worried if it just rubs at full lock but some say it rubs on the pinch seams to?

Does you tires throw gravel on the side of the jeep with the spacers , or is the fender still out far enough?

We have so much crap and gravel on our roads I don't want to sand blast the side of my jeep so may I can go with a thinner spacer?

This. I rubbed pretty bad on both my front and rear flares when wheeling, a little trimming solved that issue. You'll be fine on the street though.

I AM lifted 2.5" and in the summer, I wear my 315/70R17 on wheel whit a BS of 4.5", no rubbing. BUT my winter tires are 285/70R17 on my stock rims without spacers, and here is a picture in extension (not that full, but disconnected on a snow bank).

Must say that other than that, no rubbing.
