2014 Polar Edition tire size
I just purchased a 2014 Polar Edition and comes stock with the 18inch rims and 33 inch tires. Was told I could run 35s on it without a lift as long as I just take the sides of the stock bumper off. Was seeing if this is true first of all or has someone done it yet? I know not many people own the polar edition but worth a shot.
Only asking because I can get rims and tires 35s and 18x9 rims from a guy I know who owns a shop for cheap. I want to lift it when I can but was seeing if this is even reasonable to do.
Thanks

Not sure about the polar edition but I thought the largest tire that came on any JK was a 32". What is the actual tire size on the sidewall? There are a lot of threads regarding largest tire that will fit. I am pretty sure you will have issues with anything larger than a 33" without lift and wheels with less backspacing than the stock wheels (or spacers).

I've never heard of any Jeeps coming from the factory with stock 33's...?
As stated above, what is the true tire size groth797?

I can't see the polar edition coming with larger tires than a rubicon. The polar edition that is at my buddy's dealership has like 31 or maybe a bit bigger as the tires look exactly the same size as the Sahara

To answer the OPs question, you can upsize your stock tires to 33s with some minor changes.
I upsized my stock rubicon tires to 33's on Procomp 16x9 wheels with 4.5 backspace. Also added a teraflex leveling kit and a Smittybilt XRC MOD front bumper with V2 end caps. I have no issues at full articulation.
I do not believe that the Polar edition has a front electronic sway bar disconnect so unless you plan to add sway bar disconnects, you may be OK with just upsizing to 33s and new wheels with the proper backspacing (or wheel spacers).
