Good manners depends on set up no matter what the height you set it at. The red link in my signature may give you some more insight on your suspension.

My wife has a 2015 Sahara X JK, came with the 245 tires, looked even worse than the 255's. We put in 1.75 spacers which eliminated the need for the exhaust spacer, etc. We put 285/70/17's on it and it looks much better, has plenty of clearance for a DD and my wife loves the look.

A friend just offered me a 2" rubicon express spacer lift with shock extensions for $200 installed. He just took it out of his jk to install a 4". How does this sound? He recommended staying with stock shocks for now and spending the money on adjustable track bars instead.

Brand new that kit goes for $210, might take you a few hours to install it with a floor jack and some good jack stands, If you can install it yourself offer him $100, if you want him to get dirty pay him a little more...

I personally think a set of rancho 9000 shocks would be much more of a significant upgrade in terms of "feel" compared to adjustable track bars at 2" of lift.

/\ This /\ is probably going to help you understand better than any "what lift should i buy" thread. Dirtman has it all spelled out. understanding what you want out of your rig will lead you to the proper parts...and nobody on here can tell you what you need/want better than yourself

If you are planning on not going above 2" then this is a great set up.

Some people will use our correction brackets too.

Good luck with your choice!!

You do not need exhaust spacers for a pavement princess. Exhaust spacers are only necessary when you plan on drooping your axle under articulation, so much that your drive shaft will hit the exhaust cross over. That would be a waste for you, from what I have ready already.

For what it's worth, if it were me, I would just do a simple spacer lift with some control arm drop brackets.

the metalcloak ones were relatively easy to install and like others can grow with your lift. upper arm location is adjustable depending on spring length.. after installing mine id say stay away from any of the brackets that arent boxed in and are two pieces per side holding in place while trying to locate bolt through sleeve was hard enough....

Definitely a better design than AEV or Rough Country, from what I can tell. I'm not an engineer, don't play one on TV, and I did NOT stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, so my opinion isn't worth much. LOL!

But a one piece would certainly be easier to install. Either way, if it's going to be a mall crawler, I'd do drop brackets over adjustable arms for sure.
