Default 2014 JKU Horn, I mean horns...

I recently swapped out my stock horn on my '14 Rubicon that's been converted into a Brute Double Cab. I did a bunch of research on-line prior that was mainly based on JKU's < model year 2014 and was under them impression there was only 1 horn under the hood up behind the driver's side headlight. I was surprised when I did my project to find not one wimpy horn under the hood, but 2 - one behind the drivers side headlight and one just in front of the windshield on the driver's side. Just curious - is the 2 wimpy horns a change for '14 or did I just miss this in my research? They both seem to be the same frequency so it's not like it was an improvement on the previous year's crappy horns.

In any event, here are a few shots of the Wolo Bad Boy install.

The Brute Double Cab actually weighs about 300lbs less than a stock JKU so it gets about the same MPG and it is about 23" longer so not as nimble in tight spaces as a stock JKU.

my '12 definitely doesn't have the double horn.. is it possible that AEV put in the second horn? I don't think that is stock... and oh yeah.. looks awesome

I have a '11 Sahara EU version that came with 2 horns. One also behind the headlight and the other one behind the front bumper. I too found them to be the same frequency. I've replaced them with the PIAA superior bass horns.

No, it's not an AEV modification. The stock wiring diagram shows two horns and a fuse for each. It's odd.
