Superchips is a brand you know that right? It's not actually a chip, it's a brand of tuner. Just clearing things up for everyone.

Nothing but problems with my flashcal on my 14. Superchips has been trying to fix the bug but it is getting annoying now.

I bought a SuperChips Traildash for my 2014 JKU. It did not work. It said that it was not compatible. I returned it to the Off road store and exchanged it for another, thought it might have been the item, again same.... not compatible. I contacted Superchips and they told me they were working on it. After seeing the guy on here that a Traildash bricked his new Jeep, I was not going to risk it again I bought their Flashpaq 3572 to see if that was different. After cycling through and reloading like 4x, which after calling Superchips, they say it may take up to 5x, it finally loaded and did what I needed. It works really well now actually. I would stay away from Traildash though till the bugs are worked out. I was only like a month ago it happened..... so.....

I got/use the SuperChips TrailDash for my 14 JKUR and it has been excellent...I've not experienced any of the issues mentioned in the previous post.

Along with the tuning that's available, it has other nice features that you don't get with the AEV Procal (or the SC flashcal and flashpaq). I really like that it's a touchscreen and the display is very nice...much better to look at than the BullyDog. It allows me to engage/disengage the sway bar disc and lockers directly from the TD screen, and it also allows me to lock/unlock the lockers on while in 4HI instead of having to be in 4Low.

I got a good deal on mine right when the programming for the 12-14 was released, or I may not have sprung the extra $$$ for it. However, after using it, I found it worth the price the vendors have it for ($499). I'd buy it again.

* I have no affiliation with SuperChips...just happy with this product.

I also got a FlashCal for my 2014 Sahara JKU...worst decision I ever made! It sucks! Nothing on it works as advertised. Messed up my OEM programming. Thankfully I own a professional OBDII programmer that allowed me to reset everything. I've updated the FlashCal each time before attempting to use it with same results. I've spent countless hours on the phone and online "tech support" with these fools and I just keep getting the same old run around with failed promises of return calls that never happen. My personal advice is to stay clear of anything Superchips! In my in-depth dealings with them, they come off to me as a handful of guys working out of a small rented office/warehouse space who are very disorganized. That may not be the case, that's just the overwhelming impression I get. I will *never* purchase from them again. Look into BullyDog or AEV as just a couple of proven better alternative options. For the record, I'm a former certified aircraft mechanic with decades of professional training and experience. Purchasing a programmer that a manufacturer boast big claims about, plugging into a socket and following on-screen instructions is simply not rocket science and should just work. Keep your money and your sanity and stay away from Superchips!!

Ask how many people with the Superchips have tried other brands or have experience tuning themselves.

I can tell you that as far as the engine and more especially the transmission tuning go, nothing out there holds a candle to the Diablosport tunes.

The trinity is the best all around tuner period.

The Superchips Flashpaq is Ok. It does wha it says it does, but the engine tunes get a decent amount of knock in the heat and the transmission tunes are terrible, which they are known for not having good trans tunes for any vehicles they have programmers for. And the trans tuning is 90% of the battle on a wrangler especially with big tires. Not just the firmness or up shift timing is better, the entire logic is better in the DS tunes.

You also always have the option of going to a professional tuner with your trinity and having a custom tune done for anything you may ever want to do. Custom mods, supercharger, turbo, etc. Also DS uses direct input and feedback from their thousands of custom tuners out there to constantly tweak their stuff. Superchips has in house guys like DS does, but that is all they have, including some customer feedback. There is a huge disparity between the quality of what they have to offer because of that reason.

To me Superchips is like a General Practitioner doctor. Yeah they are in the business and they are ok, but if I want knee surgery, I'm going to an orthopedic specialist. DS are tuning specialists, they don't just sell canned tuners.

I have no experience with banks.
