Default 2014 Armor anyone? Oil Pan, Diff Covers, Evap??

Has anyone done any mods to a 2014 JKU Rubicon? Wondering about Differential Covers? Oil Pan Skid Plates? Evap Skid Plate - their is one on the 2014, but it is very thin stamped steel.

If so what did you do? How did it work. Very little info out there on 2014's

I don't have a 2014 but I don't think there is any difference underneath from a 2013 which I do have. The EVAP skid is thin but it's up there and not prone to damage offroad. The oil pan, transfer case and transmission are a different story. Look at the EVO Protek skids. Good quality and the cost is reasonable.

Should be no difference between 2012 and up as far as skids go.

I too recommend the evp pro tek skids. I have them. I use solid diff covers and the are holding up. I did not put any cover over my evap yet.

At stock height on my 2012 rubicon i may have made contact with Earth at the ridiculous exhaust crossover underneath the jeep. ( obviously ) Luckily I had installed the Evo protek Skid system which covered all of the underside basically. I am pleased to see the exhaust crossover has not even been touched... whereas the skid has a small ding. Surprising considering the boulder it tackled. Hope this helps haha! As for the Evap Skid, i have the Poison Spyder one and its good piece of mind. I remember reading a thread where the stock evap skid would rub against the driveshaft rubber boot at full flex, causing it to tear and whatnot. my 2 cents

I recently installed the poison spyder evap skid after the stock one hit and damaged the rear drive shaft boot.

My stock skids plates are bashed and scraped to high hell, but not a scratch on oil pan. Never really worried about it.

Thanks all. I ask cause my 08 JKR had all kinds of scrapes and dings on skid plates. Including a big whack on the oil pan.

I'm still young in this - only 2.5 years. But lots of trails at Kansas Rocks and in Colorado!

Love this forum. Folks are great!!
