2013 Wrangler Unlimited Moab Rear Bumper
#21
Well my part came today and I installed the bumper, it was pretty easy install. When putting the bumper on by yourself and using anti-rotation brackets on both sides everything fit in very tight, which is good, but it required a distinct set of steps in order for it to all fit together. I think it looks great.
He was asking $150 for the bumper. It wasn't in perfect condition but it was pretty close.

I'm currently leaning towards the Rubicon 10th anniversary bumper to put on for my rear bumper. I just have to find another deal like that on Craigslist, where someone is selling a take off because I don't like the idea of spending over $1k for a rear bumper.
Here's the 10th Anniversary edition bumper: It's very similar.

That's awesome and it looks great!!! That's a $1200 bumper...so who cares if it wasn't in perfect condition!!

That is a pretty sweet bumper as well, I like it. I must say it looks like the spare tire has a lot of room. On the Moab bumper I installed my 35" tire on a 15" rim just fits. I mean just fits, in fact I rotated the tire on the mount so the lug was not directly in the 6 o'clock position. That ended up giving me about an 1/8" of room between the tire and the bumper. Anything bigger would have required another type of spare tire carrier.

I'm shocked he didn't get the front. I bought the front AEV Moab bumper for $250 and the guy also had a pair of Mopar side rock rails, which I got for $100.
Being concerned I was buying stolen merchandise for those prices, I was inquisitive where the guy got the parts. He seems legit. He works for a Chrysler dealership as the body shop manager. The owner let's him have part take offs from demo vehicles, vehicle mods and insurance work repairs. He told me the rock rails actually came off the owner's Jeep where the owner wanted side step rails installed instead of the rock rails. LOL!!! He's converting an offroad Rubicon package into a mall crawler.
$350 total, and I left feeling like I was wearing a ski mask.

Yeah, I got the same explanation from the guy, after seeing him I was pretty confident he was not the type of guy that was going to be dealing in stolen goods. He doesn't have any money in these parts so he can sell them pretty cheap just to make a buck.
I actually picked it up for $120!!
I don't mind my front bumper so I held off on that one, the rock rails...he did not have them at his place when I was there or I would have thought about them. I am not in too much of a hurry for those. I am not into rock crawling at this time so there is no big need.
He was a really nice guy, maybe he will have some parts in the future as well. I don't have him on speed dial like Rednroll so I might miss out on a few but that's ok.
