Default 2013 Bizarre Computer/Auto Trans Isssue

Today I was in 4 wheel high going down a Colorado mountain trail when my 2013 JK Rubicon would not accelerate. I stopped and tried to accelerate, but the jeep would not move. At first I thought it had stalled, but it hadn't. I shut it off, put it in park and tried to restart. It rapidly cranked, but would not fire. I tried to put it in neutral to coast down the mountain, but the shifter lever would not come out of park. I turned the key off for a minute while deciding what the heck to do. When I tried to start it again, it started and everything seemed normal. There was not a check engine light. I checked for a diagnostic code and there were none. I'm on day one of a two week off road vacation and now concerned about breaking down on a trail.

Any ideas?

Did you happen to just switch it to 4hi. I did that once and broke the clip that holds connects to the lever underneath. And it left my Jeep in nutural but didn't have any trouble starting it

Possibly over heat the transmission?

I wondered that. But no code?? Ran the trails fine today and yesterday, but I used 4wd sparingly. Maybe it was a one time glitch.

There was a lot of problems with the front sway bar disco getting water in the connector and messing up the canbus data on the other computers. These things are know to cause a lot of weird issues. Try unplugging the connector at the sway bar if it happens again.

My thoughts exactly but he would've gotten a temp light .. Check the fluid level or check if it smells burned

I can say I monitor my 14's tranny temp religiously and in 51000 miles it never raises higher than 165-170 no matter how long in 4lo and no matter the temps. I did dusy and rubicon both long 4 lo trails.
