Default 2012 Lifted - Exhaust Issue

All,
I just installed a Teraflex 2.5 coil lift on my 2012 JK Unlimited. From reading other threads I knew the drive shaft would be close to hitting or hit the exhaust at full droop. Well after getting everything installed my drive shaft starts hitting the exhaust about 3/4" from being fully extended.

My question is how to fix it.

1) Exhaust Spacers?
2) New Y Pipe?
3) New Coast 1310 Drive Shaft?

I'm leaning towards a new drive shaft if it will give me the clearance i need. Does anyone know what the diameter of the Coast 1310 drive shaft is at the point it crosses over the exhaust??

I would prefer not to mess with the exhaust of this nearly new vehicle to avoid any warranty issues if I ever have any engine troubles.

Im anxiously awaiting your opinions.

Thanks!

You would be best to get Teraflex's opinion on this.

With a 2.5" lift you should be fine with just a drive shaft.

Others have said when speaking to dealerships the spacers won't void any warranty relating to exhaust components....but I would still do your research with dealers in your area.

Spacers are much cheaper solution of the 3.

Replace the driveshaft. It needs it anways. Just look at the angle of the factory shaft coming out of the transfercase.

you'll still hit with a replacement driveshaft...unless your shocks are shorter and prevent alot of droop.

The AFE y pipe works great. it gets it back out of harms way for wheel'n too.

You will need a driveshaft at some point..unless you don't disco the front and flex/ droop all the way down.

I am leaning towards a new drive shaft but as mentioned it is the most expensive option. I took this lift off of my 09 when i traded it in. I had OME long travel shocks on the 09 and knew those would cause problems. The front OME shocks were 28" extended and the new bilstiens are 24.62" extended. I need to get the diameter of the Coast drive shaft then i can measure the stock shaft and find out what the difference is. This should give me the info i need to determine if the new shaft will clear. Anyone happen to know what the diameter is? Looking at photos of the Coast shafts they look considerably smaller and it apppears this would fix my problem since it is just hitting at full droop.
Im a bit hesitant to screw with the exhaust on this new motor unless it is absolutely required.

Thanks for the feedback!

Do you have the stock shocks on the 2012?

No. I purchased a new set of Bilstein 5100 shocks. The front shocks are 24.63 long versus the stock front at 22.0.

this is what you can do .......... (follow the link)

https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...ust-Spacer-Kit.

or by a new drive shaft

or you can do both, either option will work

Why not just get a new exhaust that will move it completely. It will sound nicer and if you buy a quality one you won't have any problems with it
