Default 2012 JKU Lift VS warranty

To lilft or not to lift is the question...As I understand it if I. Go with any lift other than a MoPar lift they void the warranty... but that lift is $2400 vs 600 for the same lift made by Rubicon trail....and minus mopar sticker...... so has anyone had a problem with there lifted ( still under warranty). Jeep having the warranty Voided......

I am in the process of getting a lift in my 2011 JKU. The dealer here in STL will install a 2.5" Teraflex lift for $1000 (lift and labor) and warranty it, see if you can find a dealership that will do something similar.

I have an 08 Unlimited, and after I lifted with a Teraflex 4" lift the front drive shaft broke:( Took it to the dealership, and they told me they wouldn't warranty the part because it was caused by the lift itself. I'm sure the dealership will warranty their work to install it, but you might run into other parts not being warranteed!

Just spoke to jeep customer specialist ( 877-426-5337). And they stated that as long as it is a mopar lift and put on buy a dealer ship it does not void the warranty.....But any other lift or a mopar lift put on by yourself or a local shop will void it...... it sucks but it is what it is..

what if the problem/part that breaks is not a supsension component or related to the lift? for example: if the a/c stops functioning, is it not covered because there is a lift on the jeep?

Isn't there a law that was passed on this subject?

If your dealership installs your lift and claims it will not void your warranty, get it in writing by the service manager. Talk is cheap until something breaks and it comes out of pocket.

Your jeep still has a warranty. However the dealer is supposed to prove that a part broke because of the lift. But dealers will often say that your drivetrain isnt under warranty because of a lift and that your steering isnt either. I have found a mod friendly dealer in NC that will warranty most everything on my jeep. They told me that if something breaks they will fix it and if it keeps breaking then its from the mods and then they wont fix it. You just need to find a dealer that is mod friendly.

if they can prove/feel that the lift caused the problem ....then its your dime your spending....yes there is a law .But you need to take it to court and fight it.And let's be honest mopar/jeep has more money to fight with..... the broken part would be cheaper to pay to have replaced than what you would spend fighting it.....they got us...
