Default 2012 Build Questions

Hey guys,

I need some advice on my build. I have had my 2012 (Auto 4.10) Rubicon for almost 2 months now. I have been collecting my aftermarket parts, so far I have the following or has been ordered.

Rock Krawler 3.5 X-Factor Mid Arm
Rock Krawler Ultimate Steering Upgrade
Rock Krawler Front/Rear Stackable Aluminum Bumpstops
Bilstein Shocks
Teraflex Exhaust Spacer Kit
JE Reel 1350 Front/Rear Drive Shafts
Evo C2 Gussets
Evo Tire Carrier
Evo Rear RockSkins
Evo ProTek 2012 JK Skid System
Poison Spyder Brawler Lite Front Bumper
Poison Spyder Brawler Lite Skid
Poison Spyder Brawler Rockers
ATX Slabs

I'd like to purchase Trail Grapplers. Of course I am stuck on either 35 or 37 inch tires. My question is...if I went with 37" tires, what else would I need? Procal, regearing to 4.88, flat fenders and sleeves for my D44? I'm waiting on Evo's D-Rings for the 2012 and the holiday sales for a winch. I believe if I stayed with the 35" setup, I would avoid having to regear, sleeves and added wear and tear on my vehical.

Please provide what else I should pick up if I went with the 37" tires and/or what I should expect as in wear and tear for my vehical with the 37s.

Thanks in advance.

I believe a stock D44 will handle 37's without too much worry. Depends on your driving, no telling how long it will last.

D44 and 37s work just fine. Especially sleeved/gusseted. Throw in chromoly drive shafts and you're super good.

yep, sleeve/ gusset/ procal and see how you like it. If you don;t like the way it accelerates/ shofts, than re-gear. with 35's you should be OK without re-gearing. However, if you plan to wheel that truck, I would do the sleeve/ gusset with 35's or 37's. ..just extra insurance for your upcoming kick a$$ build. ...looking forward to it.

Ok, I'll look into chromoly axle shafts, anything else I should look into? I'm leaning towards the 37s so I'll start saving up for axle shafts. I have a rubicon so per the FAQ section, it looks like my D44 are decent for the time being.

Any suggestion as to which brand of axle shafts?

Reading other threads about axle shafts is a bit confusing with the splines. Rubicon's have 32 splines in the rear and 30 in the front?

Have you used the Teraflex exhaust spacers yet? I need to get them or the AFE y pipe. I was going for the spacers since they are $60 opposed to the $290 for the AFE y pipe.

I have not used the spacers yet but I purchased them so that my exhaust could clear my lift. I took at a look at Gibson and AFE (Off Road Expo - Pomona) but I chose to wait until other brands came out with their 2012 exhaust models.

Is a link from the Sponsor section. A lot of people have installed/received their spacer kits from teraflex.

Here is an updated picture of my jeep. Rock Krawler and ORE are assisting me with having everything dialed in.

Still have to put on the spare, winch, Poison Spdyer 3rd brake light, ARB Compressor w/ EVO 2012 under the hood bracket.
