Default 2011/2012 Rubicon with 35s

anyone know if the 2011/2012 Rubicon can handle 35s without a lift? Or is a 2" minimum lift needed?

I have a 2011 Rubicon Unlimited and my 35" MTR-K's just barely fit under full flex with 2.5" teraflex coil lift with an additional 1/2" spacers. This lift included bump stop extensions, which is what really keeps the tires from rubbing. (As far as I can tell the 2011 is the same fitting issues as every other year jk.) There is a faq at the top of the forum page that says what you will need to do for each tire size to fit.

I hear that with aftermarket flat fenders and no lift some forumers run 35's...

cool, thanks. I'm going to order a 2012 Rubicon with the factory 35s and the minimal lift. I know it may cost a bit more factory installed, but I don't want to take a $35k vehicle to a place to tear apart my suspension. At least the factory would warranty the work.

well, that is a helluva read. but if I read it right, they do have to cover modified jeeps according to the warranty act, correct? It seems that a jeep option of 35" tires on a Rubicon, just like other tire options on any car, would and should not effect warranties. I will make sure that is ironed out in writing before I buy!
