Default 2008 JK Won't start unless I shift through gears

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. This happens intermittently when I go to start the Jeep, it will begin to crank but will not turn over. If i keep the key on then shift down through all gears (automatic) and right back to park, I can then turn the key off and turn it back on and it will start. I had the starter replaced but did not fix the issue. this seems to be the fix every time, once I move the shifter all the way down and back to park. This may happen once every 2 weeks or on back to back days. No pattern. Thank you for any advice.

Sounds like your Transmission Range Sensor is going out (TRS).

Run an additional ground wire from the battery negative terminal to one of the alternator mount bolts. See if that changes its behavior.
