2008 jk replacement radio
Factory radio volume no longer working proper when turned. After 11 years time to upgrade. Any recommendations, would like navigation and back up camera if not to costly. My jk is Rubicon without factory navigation.

Sounds like you are looking for a replacement 'factory' radio with integrated Navigation?
Just an opinion, but go aftermarket. Find a deck with integrated Apple Carplay or Android Auto (whichever phone you have) and just run the Navigation from the phone onto the radio display. Same with the backup camera, whichever one you choose will be plugged into the deck and the video will be displayed when in reverse. (or at the push of a button, depending on how it is set up)
The Pioneer deck I bought for my 2008 runs both Apple and Android, and has inputs for both front and rear cameras. (though I haven't gotten around to the front camera yet). Check on this, but you may need a Steering Wheel Control Interface thingamajig, which was around $100. I got my deck/camera during a BestBuy free install deal, so I couldn't really complain about needing that extra part.

Nah, it comes down to the same advice. I didn't look at any decks with built-in Nav, but I imagine the only difference is a higher cost and some type of subscription or fee for updating the maps. So just find the deck you want that has both Nav and Camera feeds, and add that steering wheel module if needed.
The other option is a factory radio, but aftermarket was quite a bit cheaper when I was looking. And I assume you would need to get a dealership to flash/unlock or whatever so it will be usable on your jeep. Though I have seen a few take-offs listed on my local Craigslist at decent prices, which could be another option if you want to try used.

Crutchfield has been a great source for most of my electronic items. I've got a double din Pioneer with navigation and backup camera. I just recently upgraded the factory amp, by removing it and throwing it away. Went with a 5 channel amp to compliment the component speakers I replaced the crappy factory units with.

A couple months after a bought my 2016 JK I put in a great and not too costly aftermarket Sony XAV-AX100 touchscreen radio with pre outs for a 4 channel amp, subs, and a backup camera. It also has apple CarPlay. At that time it cost about $399 plus another $100 to keep you steering wheel controls. Now I think there is a new unit called the Sony XAV-AX1000 which is an upgraded version of mine and it cost $399 I think for just the radio. I’m telling you this because I’ve seen radios that cost 2 or 3 times as much being inferior to the Sony. It has a great sound even before I added a couple of amps for my front and rear speakers plus 2 subwoofers. It fits perfectly in your middle console if your Jeep is a 2012 and up.
