Hey everyone, I'm finally able to start working on my 2007 2dr JKI bought a while back, and I need some ideas. I want to go baja style, like low and wide, instead of tall and tough. I don't really know where to start though, so if anyone has any ideas? If you have seen something you think fits the bill, or if this is the kind of build you've done, please let me know. Thanks in advance!

Some ideas for a beach/baha rig

Trans cooler if you have an auto
2" lift
Wide all terrain tires
16 or 15" diameter rims with backspacing of 4.5" or less. Note, some people report difficulty fitting 15" rims, so I went with 16s.
Remove carpet and bedline interior
Spider shade or dirty dawg shades
CB with weather band
Aux lights
Seat covers
Snatch strap
Staun tire deflators
Portable or onboard air compressor

One inch spacer on front stock coils; 10 inch wide rims for 33x13.5 tires; adjust steer stops; cut fenders; pull pal and winch.

How much does it cost to do a hemi swap?

~$6500 + if you source motor and do labor yourself. Upwards of $20,000 if you drop your Jeep off at a shop like Burnsville or AEV.

I thought the 4bt diesel conversion was about 20k, but the hemi would be around 10-12 installed.
